SUBSTANCE: method is based on stepwise analogue-to-digital conversion of an input signal, wherein the first step includes recording the value of an input analogue signal and performing analogue-to-digital conversion thereof, and at the second and subsequent analogue-to-digital conversion steps, converting the amplified sampling error of the previous analogue-to-digital conversion step, and combining the conversion results of all steps into an output binary code; the sampling error of the current analogue-to-digital conversion step is generated as the difference between the recorded value of the input analogue signal and the value of the sampling level corresponding to the current analogue-to-digital conversion step.
EFFECT: increasing accuracy and decreasing analogue-to-digital conversion time interval.
