FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises a unit of three mutually perpendicular seismic detectors with a 0.01-20 Hz bandwidth, a digital seismic signal detector in the 0.033-50 Hz range, a hydrophone, a pressure meter, a power supply, a ballast, a ballast release configured for control via a hydroacoustic communication channel from a vessel. The housing of the apparatus is made of metal. The unit of three mutually perpendicular seismic detectors is mounted on a self-propelled platform and is mounted in a recess made in one of the ends of the ballast. The said unit is mounted at the bottom by a mechanical arm. The mechanical arm is interfaced with a ramp, which seals the recess in the ballast.
