FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method for precipitation of chromium (VI) ions from solutions includes interaction of chromium (VI) ions with reagent-reducer in acidic medium and the following addition of precipitator. As reagent-reducer oxalic acid is applied. Precipitation is carried out with chlorides of alkali-earth metals or magnesium chloride after preliminary addition of sodium carbonate.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce duration of precipitation of chromium cations, increase ecological safety of precipitation process due to application of non-volatile reducer.
