SUBSTANCE: control system for inline inspection of sheet or web material on the gravure printing machine is proposed, where the control system comprises an optical device of quality control to control the printed area on the printed side of the sheet or web material, at that the optical device of quality control comprises a system of photo-cameras with one or more units of photo-cameras, each comprising at least one single-line photo-camera for scanning and obtaining the image of the printing area while the sheet or web material is moved in the gravure printing machine past the system of photo-cameras.
EFFECT: position of at least one single-line photo-camera in the gravure printing machine along the delivery path of sheet or web material is such that the cyclical fluctuations which are spread periodically across the entire gravure printing machine during the gravure printing machine operation do not occur until the system of photo-cameras scans the printing area of the sheet or web material and obtains the full image of the printing area.
