FIELD: printing industry.

SUBSTANCE: an intaglio printing machine is proposed. It comprises of an intaglio cylinder gravure and ink removal system containing a rotatable roller for cleaning as an assembly. The roller touches the intaglio cylinder circumference to remove excess ink from the surface of the intaglio cylinder, wherein the cylinder speed for cleaning can be adjusted relative to the rotation speed of the intaglio cylinder. Intaglio printing machine includes an adjustable drive. The adjustable drive is located between the roller for cleaning as an assembly, performing the function of an outlet body of the adjustable drive, and a driving gear connected to the intaglio cylinder and performing the function of a rotating inlet body of the adjustable drive. The adjustable drive is designed for providing selective adjustment of the roller rotation speed for cleaning as an assembly relative to the rotation speed of the driving gear. When the adjustable drive is in the adjusting position, the roller for cleaning as an assembly is rotated by an adjusting motor of the adjustable drive. When the adjustable drive is in the non-adjusting position, the adjusting motor is disconnected and the roller for cleaning as an assembly is rotated only mechanically with the help of the adjustment drive. The roller for cleaning as an assembly is rotated at a predetermined speed relative to the rotation speed of the intaglio printing cylinder.
