FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: inventions can be used at petrochemical enterprises to neutralise copper-containing sewage waters of acrylic acid production. Method includes mixing sewage waters to be purified and sulphide-alkaline drain, with further separation of formed sediment, with ratio of quantity of moles of sulphide-ions to quantity of copper moles constituting not less than 4.30 and ratio of weight of drain to be purified to weight of mixed sulphide-alkaline drain within (3-1):1. In preferable versions of method realisation additional introduction of coagulant or flocculant in amount not less than 0.5 mg/dm³ is possible. In the second version mixing of sewage waters to be purified with sodium sulphide is realised, with further separation of formed sediment, with ratio of quantity of moles of sulphide-ions to quantity of copper moles constituting not less than 6.79.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to realise effective purification of copper-containing sewage waters of acrylic acid production.
