FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: inventions can be used at petrochemical enterprises to neutralise copper-containing sewage waters of acrylic acid production. Method includes mixing sewage waters to be purified and sulphide-alkaline drain, with further separation of formed sediment, with ratio of quantity of moles of sulphide-ions to quantity of copper moles constituting not less than 4.30 and ratio of weight of drain to be purified to weight of mixed sulphide-alkaline drain within (3-1):1. In preferable versions of method realisation additional introduction of coagulant or flocculant in amount not less than 0.5 mg/dm3 is possible. In the second version mixing of sewage waters to be purified with sodium sulphide is realised, with further separation of formed sediment, with ratio of quantity of moles of sulphide-ions to quantity of copper moles constituting not less than 6.79.

EFFECT: inventions make it possible to realise effective purification of copper-containing sewage waters of acrylic acid production.
