FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: proposed watch comprises casing, face, clockwork and Lunar phases indicator. The latter has indication surface with twelve parts. Lunar phases indicator is composed of the pointer with sight hole for observation of Lunar phase change, said pointer being actuated by clockwork via kinematic connection and making one revolution during the period approximating to twelve synodical months. Said indication surface represents the face surface with areas applied thereon to indicate the Moon parts of front and rear irradiance. Said parts are divided by the curve constructed by sine function in circle and having twelve periods corresponding to twelve synodical months. Note here that relationship between said areas of observed through Lunar phases pointer sight hole complies with ratio between the Moon parts of front and rear irradiance.
EFFECT: simplified design, higher reliability, possibility of unambiguous identification of lunar day and month.
