FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to route search and identification of electric wiring damage points by an induction method. Essence: the method is implemented by alternating voltage supply to the surveyed line from a generator and detection of a magnetic field by a receiver set to the generator frequency. The generator frequency is essentially higher than the receiver adjustment frequency and defined by the formula Fgen=10×M×Frec, where M is selected from the number sequence of 2-4-8-16. Output voltage of the generator comes to the line through back-to-back diodes and transistor switches opened in a sequence with the period of Ttr=(2×Frec)-1. Bursts of monitoring pulses with an amplitude of 300-800 V, pulse duration of Tpulse=(20×M×Frec)-1 with the number of pulse of the same polarity equal to N=5×M and polarity change in each half-period of Frec. An aerial circuit of the receiver integrates bursts of monitoring pulses coming with the frequency of Fgen and changing polarity with the receiver frequency of Frec and responses to them as to a low-frequency signal. The efficiency of the method is defined by the fact that the signal in the receiver antenna is increased by Keff=(10×M)2 times and tune-out from interference of the commercial frequency is made.

EFFECT: increased accuracy in search of route and identification of electric wiring damage points.
