FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: device for defect detection in welds during welding contains a measuring channel comprising the installed near weld acoustic emission transmitter, pre-amplifier connected in series with its output, bandpass filter, and analogue-digital converter, unit for on-line memorization of the acoustic signals and PC with monitor to display the output data, at that it is provided with the first amplitude discriminator, connected with output of the analogue-digital converter, its input is connected to output of the bandpass filter, second amplitude discriminator. Outputs of the first amplitude discriminator are connected with the appropriate inputs of the unit for on-line memorization and second amplitude discriminator, unit for reference signals recording, its input is connected with output of the second amplitude discriminator, unit for calculation of cross-correlation functions, its inputs are connected with the appropriate outputs of the unit for on-line memorization and the unit for reference signals recording, and connected in series with output of the unit for calculation of cross-correlation functions by filtration unit as per level of correlation coefficient, unit of calculation of integral energetic parameter as per separate groups and discriminator of objectionable level, connected to PC input with monitor displaying the output data.

EFFECT: increased interference immunity of the device, assurance of possibility of one-sided access to acquire data during use of single transducer of acoustic emission signals.
