FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: tool for electromechanical hardening of work surfaces of splined bushings includes mandrel, hardening element, guiding nonconductive bushings, coupling nuts, nonconductive bushing. In bottom part of the mandrel the following is installed: hardening element, which surface in transverse cross-section is made splined, and in longitudinal cross-section external surface of each spline is made in form of trapezium, at that width and height of each spline of the hardening element is smaller the height and width of splines of the machined bushing, guiding nonconducting bushings installed in bottom and top part of the hardening element.

EFFECT: use of tool for electromechanical hardening of the work surfaces of the splined bushings increases hardness and wear resistance of the work surfaces of the splined bushings and entire interface.
