SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mechanical engineering and repair production, in particular to tooling for finishing and hardening treatment of square-section holes. The tool for finishing and hardening treatment of square-section holes includes a mandrel, in the tail part of which coupling nuts and a current-insulating sleeve are installed on the thread, a calibration tooth having a square section is installed on the front part of the mandrel. The mounting part of the mandrel for the calibration tooth is made with square cross-section and with a cylindrical thread at the end, in front of the cylindrical surface of the mandrel there are two bars arranged symmetrically. The square-section calibration tooth is made up of a composite gripping part, a calibration part and a rear part, while the gripping part is made of steel and in the form of a four-sided truncated pyramid, on the base of which the calibration part leans, made of a hard alloy and in the form of a four-sided prism with rounded edges, which is a continuation of the gripping part, and the continuation of the calibration part is the rear part made of steel and in the form of a four-sided truncated pyramid, adjacent to the base of the calibration part. Each part of the calibration tooth is made with an axial hole of square cross-section of the same size corresponding to the size of the cross-section of the mounting part for the calibration tooth, and these parts of the calibration tooth are made with the possibility of connecting in the above order with the mounting surface of the mandrel part for the calibration tooth and fixing with a nut.

EFFECT: reduction in the consumption of a hard alloy required for the manufacture of a calibration tooth, due to making it composite.
