FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to disposal of plating wastes, for example, slimes, by their processing and can be used at nonferrous production plants. Proposed process comprises addition of pyrocatechin in amount of 0.7-0.9 g per 1 litre, of suspension with moisture content of over 90%, mixing for 48 hours and separation of filtration precipitate. Produced filtrate comprises pyrocatechin complexes of metals extracted from plating slime.
EFFECT: decreased number of jobs, no aggressive reagents, yield of up to 89,7% of commercial product.
