FIELD: metallurgy; engineering; chemical industry; environmental protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in the processing of galvanic sludge and obtaining additives in structural and functional materials. Pre-crushed zinc-containing galvanic sludge is leached when heated using a water-in-oil microemulsion containing, wt.%: 6.5-12.5 water, 9.5-11.0 sodium dodecyl sulphate, 23.0-26.0 butanol-1, 8.5-9.5 di-(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid, the rest is kerosene. After leaching, nanoparticles are precipitated under the action of an aqueous solution of NaOH while stirring, the resulting precipitate is separated by centrifugation and washed successively with mechanical stirring in water and acetone, and then in ethanol. Leaching and washing in ethanol is carried out under the action of ultrasound with a power of 26.2 W and a frequency of 22 kHz. The washed precipitate is dried.
EFFECT: resulting zinc oxide nanoparticles have a size from several nm to several dozens of nm.
