FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: from the source of compressed air via air duct compressed air is fed to a heat exchange, wherein air is cooled and pre-dried, further air is passed through air and dust filters in order to remove condensed moisture and solid particles from it, thereafter air is supplied to gas permeator and divided into two flows, at that the less flow is discharged while the bigger one is sent to adsorption tank and further to the main receiver. Before reaching the main receiver air is passed through a flow-control valve and open return valve, and upon the main receive air is fed through an adjustable reducing valve and output valve to the cable shell. When pressure in the main receiver reaches the upper limit the return valve is closed and reverse flow of air from the intermediates receiver comes via adsorption tank and gas permeator removing the accumulated moisture; when pressure in the main receiver reaches the lower limit the source of compressed air is switched on again, the return valve is opened and the cycle is repeated.

EFFECT: improved degree of air drying, increased level of operational quality and reliability as well increase in service life of the installation at reduced energy costs thus allowing decrease in maintenance costs of the installation.
