SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to microcapsules, which comprise a liquid core of a hydrophobic water-insoluble liquid or a mixture of hydrophobic water-insoluble liquids, except any fragrances and perfumes, a method of producing microcapsules, an aqueous dispersion containing microcapsules, as well as to the use thereof to treat textile, paper, nonwoven materials, as well as in cosmetic, pharmaceutical and laundry compositions and cleaning compositions. A method of producing microcapsules includes combining an aqueous solution of a protective colloid and a solution of a mixture of at least two structurally different at least bifunctional diisocyanates (A) and (B), in a water-insoluble liquid until an emulsion forms, to which polyethyleneimine is then added. Further, the mixture is heated to a temperature of at least 60°C until formation of microcapsules, where the isocyanate (B) is selected from anion-modified isocyanates, and the isocyanate (A) is neutral and free of polyethylene oxide.

EFFECT: providing a method of producing microcapsules which are characterised by a diameter of 1-50 mcm and can be present in the form of an aqueous dispersion which includes 5-50 wt % microcapsules per total weight of the dispersion.
