FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: this method includes the following stages: (i) dissolution of di- or polyisocyanate in essential oil, and (ii) emulsification of prepared mixture in water solution, which comprises one of di- or polyamine or di- or polyhydroxy compound, as a result, urea resin or polyurethane film is formed over drops of specified essential oil, which improves stability of mentioned essential oil, reduces rate of its evaporation and controls rate of its emission during application on substrate. The present invention is also related to microcapsules of essential oil produced by specified method, and also to larvicidal, disinfecting and repellent compositions that include such microcapsules.
EFFECT: microcapsules are not toxic and mainly biodegradable, possibility to control emission of essential oil and prevention of its oxidation and evaporation, provision of efficient oil dose emission with permanent invariable rate for prolonged period of time.
