FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: gas transfer unit contains a compressor, gas turbine drive, gas/oil heat exchanger, lubricating and cooling circuits of bearings of gas turbine drive, and fuel gas supply circuit to combustion chamber of gas turbine drive, oil tank with installed in it oil heater and oil temperature transmitters. The method includes oil heating in the oil tank, its supply to gas/oil heat exchanger to heat the fuel gas, that upon the unit start-up is delivered to the combustion chamber of the gas turbine unit. Pre-heating to 30÷60°C of the gas/oil heat exchanger is performed using the installed and fixedly secured on its full external surface electric heaters, and with simultaneous use of oil heated in oil tank, at that under start-up mode to the heated gas/oil heat exchanger with the circulating hot oil alternatively for heating the cold start air is supplied, and upon switching to work mode the main flow of cold fuel gas is also heated, then the heated fuel gas is delivered to the pressure reducing module to ensure temperature and pressure required for unit start-up, and further to the combustion chamber of the gas turbine drive.

EFFECT: invention reduces start-up time at low ambient temperatures and reduces metal consumption of equipment.
