SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of transferring files between devices using a 3D marker. A file is transferred by pointing a 3D marker at an icon of a file on the screen of a first device and then pointing the 3D marker at the screen of a second device. The transfer process involves the use of software, which is preinstalled on both devices, various communication channels used by the devices and by the 3D marker, and also a server, through which the direct transfer of a file from the first device to the second device is carried out. The first and/or second device used can be personal computers, smart phones, as well as a shop window or a museum stand. The present file transfer method enables to obtain additional information about a commodity or museum specimen by simply pointing a 3D marker on it and then pointing the 3D marker on its portable computer. The process of transferring a file on a selected commodity or museum specimen via the used communication channel is then automatically launched.
