FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of steel machine building and construction structures. Claimed process comprises the steps that follow. Continuously-cast blank is subjected at the rolling mill stand to helical knurling of outer profile skew profile with the ledge height equal to half it pitch at hot knurling end temperature of 950-1050°C. Screw blank is quenched and rerolled at the rolling mill at a cold state. Then, the surface of screw blanks is degreased and zinc-plated at zinc flow rate of 0.01-0.013 g/m2. Now, the iron-zinc coat surface is processed at 420-500°C for 10-20 min.
EFFECT: higher rust resistance, endurance and longer life.
