FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: claimed process comprises the displacement of the web portions to spinning drum so that said portions overlap as they run around said drum. Every web portion features the fusion temperature. Fluid is heated to the temperature sufficient for web portion fusion. Fluid nozzle extends from the drum opening to force hot working fluid to web portions in their overlap area. Heated fluid penetrates into the web portions to fuse them. Web portions are fused by said heated fluid. Pressing element extends through the drum hole to compress the web portions between the pressing element and bearing shaft to integrate the web portions in said overlap area.
EFFECT: development of the process and device for accurate control over position and strength of thermal compression bonds.
