FIELD: transportation.
SUBSTANCE: transport unit is designed to transport separate details from or to a moving carrier. The transport unit comprises a frame having an axis of rotation. The frame comprises a guide rail having an annular shape and an surrounding axis of rotation. The transport unit comprises transport elements in free engagement with the guide rail. Each of them has a transport surface. The transport unit comprises a wheel connected to the frame and is made with the possibility of rotation around the axis of rotation. The wheel is connected to the transport element. As the wheel rotates about the axis of rotation, the mentioned transport elements move along the annular trajectory along the path about the axis of rotation in accordance with the guide rail. The shape of the guide rail allows the transport surfaces to move radially with respect to the axis of rotation while simultaneously providing a substantially a constant distance between the transport surfaces and the moving carrier in the transmission zone of the separate detail.
EFFECT: transport of separate details at high speeds is ensured, while at the same time providing better control over a separate detail.
