FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: rubber composition contains a rubber component and composite fibre. The composite fibre includes: fibre made from a hydrophilic resin; a coating layer made from the resin, having affinity for the rubber component, and intended to coat at least part of the fibre; and a connecting layer, which is present in at least part of the boundary surface between the fibre and the coating layer and having affinity for both the hydrophilic resin and the resin having affinity for the rubber component.
EFFECT: preparing a rubber composition for use in a tyre tread, capable of maintaining improved ice characteristics of the tyre during a long period of time.
