FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: in claimed invention wasted cationite or mixture of cationites and anion exchanger are deactivated with solution, which contains sodium ions in quantity 1-3 M and alkali, with simultaneous purification of said solution from caesium radionuclides with application of selective, stable in alkali media cationites based on resorcinformaldehyde resin.
EFFECT: increase of caesium desorption from cationite, dilution of clayey sediments with release of radionuclides and considerable reduction of volume of radioactive wastes.
