FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns environmental protection, particularly soils and cultural objects decontamination, and it is designed for decontamination of radioactive cesium, strontium and cobalt nuclides. The method of radioactive nuclide decontamination involves contaminated soil treatment with acid-containing decontamination solution and transfer of radioactive nuclides to the solution, separation of the cleaned soil from the contaminated solution, extraction of radioactive nuclides from the solution by transfer to the solid phase, component correction for the cleaned decontamination solution, and its recycling. Muriatic decontamination solution contains sodium chloride. Radioactive nuclides are removed from the contaminated solution by sorption with the use of titanium phosphate-based sorbent. The contaminated solution is partially neutralised before sorption.
EFFECT: higher degree of radioactive nuclide decontamination from soils in shorter time, and reduced secondary contamination of soils.
