FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: copper plate has internal cavities filled with fusible metal to be removed after blast welding. Titanium plate is arranged above the copper plate surface. Steel protective ply with the charge of explosive is arranged at the titanium plate surface for blast welding of titanium and copper plates together. The stack of produced two-ply blank and the plate of austenitic steel is composed and blast welded. Said fusible metal is removed from the copper plate internal cavities to anneal the welded two-ply plate so that the wear-proof coating is formed on the copper ply surface.
EFFECT: higher strength at compressing and bending loads, lower heat resistance of straps between adjacent cavities.
