FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of wear-resistant coatings on titanium using energy of explosive substances and laser radiation and can be used, in particular, in production of materials for friction pairs, braking devices. Two-layer stack is formed, in which cladding plate is made of copper-nickel alloy, and cladding plate is made of titanium with ratio of thickness of cladding and cladded plates equal to 1:(10–20) at thickness of clad layer equal to 0.8–1.2 mm. Weld it by explosion, after which hot welding of welded packet is performed at temperature of 600–650 °C with reduction to thickness of copper-nickel alloy layer equal to 0.1–0.3 mm. Thermal action on the rolled workpiece is carried out with a scanning laser beam with emission power of 1.3–1.4 kW with fusion of both metal layers. Parameters of the laser action are selected from the condition of obtaining penetration of the titanium layer to the depth equal to 1–1.2 of the thickness of the layer from the copper-nickel alloy, with formation on the surface of the titanium plate of the high-hard wear-resistant coating consisting of titanium and components of the copper-nickel alloy.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a high-strength wear-resistant coating without pores, cracks and other defects, with low susceptibility to brittle fracture under dynamic loads.
