FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the area of light engineering and intended mainly for usage in zones where electric mains are unreliable and require excessive costs. The lighting unit comprises the first, second and third inputs for receipt of energy supplied from the first, second and third power sources respectively, driver circuit coupled to the first, second and third inputs and light source coupled to the driver circuit and manufactured to ensure emission at the output in response to energy supplied by this circuit. The driver circuit is manufactured to detect unavailability of at least first or second power sources and in response to ensure functioning of light source in low-power mode and reduced emitted intensity using energy supplied to the third input. The other aspect of the invention is related to development of modular lighting system manufactured with potential expansion and adaption to different energy systems.
EFFECT: expanded functionality of lighting system.
