FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lighting control, namely, to lighting element excitation mechanism. Result is achieved by the fact that analogue brightness control driver for excitation of LED lighting element (54) with generation of coded light comprises output component (52), which supplies primary current (ipr), capacitor (53) connected to the output component, switch (S1), through which the lighting element is connected to the current source in parallel to the capacitor. At periodic opening and closing of the switch switching is performed to encode information in light generated by the lighting element. Output component has an input configured to receive a brightness adjustment signal. In response to change in brightness adjustment signal, which indicates that increase in average power of generated light is required: i) primary current increases in order to increase average power of generated light, and ii) the switching duty ratio is increased by a value sufficient to prevent the specified level from exceeding the peak current level through the lighting element when the switch is closed (ipr+ idis).
EFFECT: technical result is provision of excitation mechanism, which has functionalities both of analog adjustment of brightness and coded light.
