FIELD: woodworking industry.

SUBSTANCE: interlocking cylindrical side mill consists of a housing with slots. In each slot a cutting knife is mounted, fixed with a clamping plate and a screw pair. The knife is in contact with a front surface of a curved thrust surface of the clamping plate movable by contact of its obliquely arranged cylindrical slots with the conical surfaces of the threaded pair. The clamping plate is made in the form of a split-type resilient element, a curved thrust surface of which is divided by longitudinal slots. And the radius of the thrust surface of the clamping plate is larger than the radius of the front surface of the curved knife. The force closure is carried out by the conical surfaces of the threaded pair with inclined cylindrical surfaces of the housing slot.

EFFECT: improved reliability of fixing the cutting knife.
