FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: cationic antimicrobial peptide β-2-defensin is measured by faeces by enzyme immunoassay. If the measured cationic antimicrobial peptide β-2-defensin concentration reaches the range of 31.2 ng/g to 87 ng/g, the presence of active chronic gastroduodenitis is diagnosed. If the measured cationic antimicrobial peptide β-2-defensin concentration is 87 ng/g or more, the presence of high-activity gastroduodenitic is diagnosed.

EFFECT: technique enables performing screening assays and differential diagnostic of a severity of gastric mucosa involvement accompanying chronic gastroduodenitis in children.
