FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for purification of Diesel exhaust gases. As main catalyst device includes first oxidation catalyst, applied on first carrying substrate. Immediately after first catalyst applied is second closing oxidation catalyst, applied on second carrying substrate. First and second catalysts contain palladium and platinum. First and second carrying substrates represent substrates with through holes. Second oxidation catalyst can be applied on first carrying substrate. Content of platinum and palladium in main catalyst is large relative to their content in closing catalyst. Pt:Pd ratio in main oxidation catalyst constitutes from 0.1 to 2 and lower than the same ratio in closing oxidation catalyst from 5 to 20.

EFFECT: provision of stable at heating system of NO2 generation in combination with effective characteristics at heating for filter regeneration, low-temperature activity at oxidation of hydrocarbons and CO with reduction to minimum of application of platinum group metals and associated with their application negative impact on catalyst cost.
