FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to heat insulation of pipes, namely, to methods of installation of heat insulation on welded joints of pipes designed for transportation of oil and oil products. In the method of assembly of heat insulation of welded joints of pipes for above-ground installation they perform anti-corrosion protection of a welded joint of pipes with the help of a heat shrinkable polymer tape, heat insulation shells from polyurethane foam are installed onto the joint, fixed by tie bands with locks, a thermomelting adhesive tape is glued at edges of the protective shell of the pipe as overlapping onto shells from polyurethane foam, and a protective galvanised metal jacket is installed symmetrically relative to the centre of the welded joint.

EFFECT: provision of anti-corrosion protection and heat insulation of a welded joint of steel pipelines, improvement of the technology of heat insulation assembly onto a pipeline.
