FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention is a method of species determination of powder from canned velvet antlers of red deer, New Zealand deer and reindeer, characterized in that the determination is carried out over a range of concentrations in the powder of chromium and/or aluminium. When the concentration range of chromium within 2.5-7.5 mcg/g and/or aluminium in the range of 85.0-125.0 mcg/g the powder should be considered made from red deer velvet antlers, with a range of chromium of 0.1-1.0 mcg/g and/or aluminium of 4.5-12.5 mcg/g - of New Zealand deer velvet antlers, with a range of chromium of 20.0-45.0 mcg/g and/or aluminium of 185.0-285.0 mcg/g - of reindeer velvet antlers.
EFFECT: invention enables through a comparative study of the biochemical and biological properties of velvet antlers of a deer, New Zealand deer and reindeer to determine the indicators which enable to identify the species of velvet antlers and eliminate forgery of velvet antler powder.
