SUBSTANCE: group of inventions refers to medicine, namely pulmonology, and aims at preventing or treating a radiation-induced pulmonary disease. Preventing, treating or relieving a radiation-induced pulmonary disease, particularly pulmonary fibrosis are ensured by administering an effective amount of a recovered or substantially pure compound or its salt into an individual receiving a dose of radiation and being in need of the above prevention, treatment or relief. The above compound is specified in a group consisting of glycyrrhetinic acid (GA), glycyrrhizic acid (GLA), an ester, ether and/or amide form of glycyrrhetinic acid (GA), and an ester and/or amide form of glycyrrhizic acid (GLA).
EFFECT: using the group of inventions makes it possible to prevent, treat or relieve a radiation-induced pulmonary disease, particularly pulmonary fibrosis.
