FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medicine, namely to oncology, and can be used in treatment of cancer. Methods involve administering an effective dose of cerium oxide nanoparticles (CONP) to a patient in combination with an irradiation and/or a chemotherapeutic agent.
EFFECT: use of the inventions enables higher clinical effectiveness ensured by increasing cancer cell sensitivity to radiation therapy by CONP, reduced dose of radiation therapy and chemotherapy, reduced toxicity associated with radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
