COMPOSITIONS FOR TYRE BALANCING Russian patent published in 2016 - IPC B60C19/00 F16F15/32 C08L71/02 C08K3/36

Abstract RU 2575904 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tyre balancing, which eliminates imbalance in automobile wheels. Gel composition for tyre balancing contains 1) 85-97 wt % of glycolic ether component, which contains mixture of two ethers of ethylene/propyleneglycol copolymer of general formula (I) or general formula (II) or their mixture R-O{[CH(CH3)CH2-O-]m[CH2-CH2-O]n}H (I), R1-O{[CH(CH3)CH2-O-]m[CH2-CH2-O]n}H2 (II), where R represents hydrogen or alkyl group of 2-8 carbon atoms; R1 represents alkylene component of 2-8 carbon atoms, in which one and the same carbon atom does not carry two substituents; m represents percent wt % of propyleneglycol in component or components of ethylene/propyleneglycol copolymer and n represents wt % of ethyleneglycol in component or components of ethylene/propyleneglycol copolymer, wherein n:m ratio is in the range from 35:65 to 80:20; each glycol copolymer compound has number average molecular weight 2000-10000; and 2) 3-15 wt % of gel-generating silicagel substance. Balancing composition is viscoelastic and has accumulation modulus (G'), constituting from 1500 Pa to 5000 Pa at 22°C, loss modulus (G"), lower than accumulation modulus up to transition frequency, constituting 10-40 Hz, and critical fluidity tension higher than 2 Pa.

EFFECT: invention improves balancing quality.
