FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: horizontal chain link (3) to connect two engaged in it vertical links (2) for drive chain (1) of scraper conveyor on its external side looking to opposite side from its internal space (7) has several functional zones (F1-F4), for example, for scraper connection. The horizontal link along full perimeter has same height (H) and same width (N) determining the nominal diameter of the link. In elbows deviation of height (H) up to - 10% is permitted. At least one functional zone (F1-F4) is within the virtual side surface enveloping the height and width of the horizontal link in such functional zone. The envelope (E) is such curve that connects the end points of height and width with each other.
EFFECT: strong and lightweight horizontal chain link with functional zones is ensured.
