FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, particularly, to shock absorber. The latter comprises energy absorber for deceleration of forces including the case, at least two pins arranged therein in parallel with each other. Besides, it includes the metallic long stretching element arranged in said case to extend between and in contact with said pins. Said pins and stretching element are arranged so that direction change originates at the latter at relative displacement of both to decelerate said relative displacement due to stretching element deformation at passing by the pin. Said pins and stretching element are arranged so that the latter changes its direction through 90 degrees at passing by at least two pins. This shock absorber comprises the bar and collision catcher coupled therewith and displacing along its outer side. Note here that one of energy absorbers or stretching element are coupled with collision catcher to displace along with it. The other one is fixed at the ground or makes a fixed structure so that at collision with collision catcher it decelerates due to relative displacement between energy absorber and stretching element.
