FIELD: transport engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rail vehicles with energy absorbing structure of cabins to protect driver. Proposed rail vehicle has end with driver's cabin, rigid frame 1 passing under driver's cabin, protective shield 3 between inner space of driver's cabin and part of outer sheathing 5 and provided with rigid structure. Protective shield 3 rests on frame 1 being coupled with frame 1 by means of at least one energy absorbing element locally arranged between shield 3 and frame 1. Said energy absorbing elements connect protective shield 3 longitudinally to frame 1 for displacement of shield 3 relative to frame 1 in longitudinal direction of vehicle owing to deformation of energy absorbing elements at front collision.
EFFECT: improved reliability.
