FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming, particularly, to stamping, and can be used for making car body parts type variable-section frame with a hole or holes in the central zone. Initial workpiece is formed with a process hole in its central zone. Clamped peripheral and central zone of the workpiece and subsequent shaping part with braking billet brakes in the area of clamp. Clamp peripheral zone of blank is brakes prevent movement of metal from the clamp in die cavity. Shaping part initially by stretching and metal displacement from the central zone of blank without clamp brakes central zone of initial billet. Further shaping is performed due to tension and metal displacement central braking zones by clamping said central zone of brakes in the form of braking ribs of variable height and cross-section, which is installed on matrix equidistantly inner outline of the part.
EFFECT: higher quality of parts due to more uniform metal stretching along the whole surface of the part that is caused by interaction of blank with ribs of variable height and cross-section.
