FIELD: automotive.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automotive industry, in particular, to system providing passive safety of pedestrians and road users moving on two-wheelers (hereinafter participants), in case of collision with front part of car body. Said technical result is achieved by the fact that a car safety system containing a set of vehicle overload sensors and control module electrically connected with gas generator actuators and external airbag with opening opposite to driver's seat to be inflated from under the hood to cover car windshield with front pillars and roof front edge, gas-filled external air bag at left edge from the side of external damping surface has an edge arranged on its right side with shelf which side surfaces are parallel to vehicle longitudinal axis, and top and bottom surface of the mentioned shelf are parallel to windshield axis of symmetry and perpendicular to vertical plane passing through the longitudinal axis of the vehicle.
EFFECT: technical result of this car safety system consists in increased efficiency of protection of pedestrians and drivers in case of collision with vehicle front end and its outer air bag (OAB) due to structural counter-action of this OAB against movement of collided pedestrian (participant) to the left from this car towards adjacent moving transport and promoting to movement of the pedestrian (participant) after contact with car to more safe lateral zone.
