FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry, in particular to devices providing passive safety for pedestrians and drivers of two-wheeled vehicles when they collide with the front of cars. Device for a passenger car for protecting bicycle drivers contains overload sensors, a control module, gas generators and an external airbag covering the windshield with the posts and the roof edge. Airbag filled with gas has along the left and right edges of the bead with shelves located on their inner sides at the top along their length and the lateral surfaces of these beads are parallel to the longitudinal axis of the car and the upper and lower surfaces (ULS) of said shelves are parallel to the axis of symmetry of the windscreen (ASW) and along the upper edge – the flange, connected to the said sides, with a shelf on its front side at the top, whose front surface is perpendicular to the ASW, and the back surface of this side has a slant back down in the vertical plane, and the ULS of this shelf are parallel to the ASW.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of protection is ensured.
