FIELD: automotive industry; means of ensuring security.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the automotive industry, in particular to devices providing passive safety for pedestrians and drivers of two-wheeled vehicles when they collide with the front of cars. Apparatus comprises: overload sensors, control module, gas generators and an external airbag (EA) covering the windshield with the front pillars and the leading edge of the roof. Airbag has on the left and right sides of the board with shelves from the inside at the top, and the lateral surfaces of these beads are perpendicular to the plane of the road, and the upper and lower surfaces of said shelves are perpendicular to the side surfaces of these beads, and along the upper edge there is a flange with a shelf on its front side at the top along its width, front and rear surfaces of which are perpendicular to axis of symmetry of windshield (WSA), and rear surface of said bead has inclination backwards and downwards in vertical plane, and top and bottom surfaces of the specified shelf are parallel to WSA.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in protection efficiency.
