FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly, to lining of drum brakes of transport vehicles. Friction lining is made in form of part of cylindrical shell, formed by misaligned cylindrical surfaces with parallel axes of rotation and having different-thickness ends with side surfaces limiting facing from side of thick and thin ends. Each of said side surfaces is made in form of two adjacent flat surfaces located at an angle to each other. For each of side surfaces of one of flat surfaces is radial to one of misaligned with cylindrical surfaces of pad, and another flat surface not radial to both misaligned cylindrical surfaces of lining. Flat surface not radial to both misaligned cylindrical surfaces of lining are glossy.

EFFECT: reduced pollution of flat surfaces of pad due to reduction of retention of foreign impurities on said surfaces.
