FIELD: transport machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport machine building and is intended for operation in brake pads. Friction lining for vehicle brake pads is made of polymer friction composite in form of part of different-thickness cylindrical shell formed by misaligned cylindrical surfaces with parallel axes of rotation, forming working surface, two longitudinal side surfaces and two end surfaces, and is equipped with a lining wear value indicator. Lining plate wear indicator is made in the form of sector of semi-cylindrical shape, at least, on one longitudinal side surface on side of thick edge of lining between holes for attachment of lining – in zone of average thickness of lining located in sector of angle “α”, Equal to 13–22 degrees, in both sides from vertical to depth of maximum allowable value of "H" lining wear, equal to 70–82.0 percent of lining thickness from its outer surface.
EFFECT: more accurate determination of the maximum permissible wear value of the lining and, as a result, improved operational characteristics of the brake pad, which are related to more complete generation of their service life with full and efficient braking.
