FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method to measure interval of time of retention of static balance of a person is implemented using the device for measurement of interval of time of retention of static balance of a person. At the same time they fix a triaxial accelerometer on the tested person. The tested person takes the initial position and closes eyes by a command at the start of the test. The "start" signal is generated at the moment of static position in the beginning of the test, namely, at the moment of minimum acceleration. They register the parameters from the triaxial accelerometer with subsequent transmission of signals to a signal processing unit, which contain values of acceleration created by the tested person in process of balance preservation in the orthograde posture. By change of time dependencies of acceleration projections, they fix the time to the moment of balance loss. They automatically fix the moment of time of balance loss with the help of the signal processing unit. The numerical value of the interval of time of static balance preservation in orthograde posture is produced via the time interval measurement unit into the indication unit by the produced data of acceleration value from the accelerometer. The device comprises a unit of a triaxial accelerometer with elements of fixation, a processing unit, a timer and an indication unit. The processing unit comprises a filter, an analogue-to-digital converter and a digital comparator. The outlet of the accelerometer is connected to the inlet of the filter, the outlet of the filter is connected to the inlet of the analogue-to-digital converter, the outlet of which is connected to the first inlet of the digital comparator, to the second inlet of which the threshold acceleration value arrives. The outlet of the digital comparator is connected to the first inlet of the timer, to the second inlet of which the "start" signal is supplied. The timer outlet is connected to the inlet of the indication unit.

EFFECT: reduced time measurement error caused by human factor.
