FIELD: electric power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply lines being in contact with current collectors of vehicles. Device for switching the direction of trolleybus current collectors comprises a base, adapted for attachment to supports of overhead contact system. Direction change-over switch is located on the base. Between the elements of the device there are installed insulators. Direction change-over switch is made in the shape of a rotating platform connected with a drive and accomodating guides for the current collectors. Platform is made of non-conducting material. Rotating platform has multiple pairs of guides for current collectors in the shape of arcs. Platform includes a restraint for all positions. Restraint additionally comprises a drive. Direction switch-over device comprises a control unit connected with the rotating platform drive and restraint drive. Direction switch-over device additionally contains sensors for the platform position control and restraint position sensors connected with the control unit.
EFFECT: technical result consists in expansion of technical capabilities of the device.
