FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: device comprises the base adapted for fixture by anchoring wires to supports of trolleybus overhead contact system, a travel direction switcher mounted at the base, a drive mounted at the base and coupled to the switcher, insulators mounted between components of the device. The travel position switcher has two positions corresponding to two directions of branching in the overhead contact system and the base has a travel limiter for the switcher. The device is made as a turntable coupled to the drive where two pairs of guides are mounted for the trolleybus collectors. The device has an additional axis mounted on the base or a turntable that ensures angular motion of the turntable in regard to the base with potential passing of the trolleybus collectors along it. The turntable is made of non-conducting material.

EFFECT: improvement in reliability of the travel direction switcher for trolleybus collectors at points of the overhead contact system branching due to smooth switching.
