SUBSTANCE: claimed process comprises working of the deposit by horizon-pillar system or some other systems with the filling of worked space and dressing of excavated ore at the subsurface dressing plant. For this, subsurface chamber is erected for dressing equipment to be mounted therein. This equipment comprises the devices for crushing, mincing, classifying, dry and wet multistep magnetic separation of ore (WMS), dewatering of concentrate and its discharge to the surface. Said subsurface dressing plant comprises the wet magnetic separation tailings thickening and dewatering complex. In compliance with an individual procedure, thickeners and vacuum-filters are used to dewater the tailings of the WMS 1^st and 2^nd stages. Note here that the content of solids in the pulp makes some 8-30%, said solids being transferred into faces. Tailings of the further WMS stages whereat said content makes 0.5-4% are combined and directed to the water settler-clarifier equipped with devices for controlled sedimentation of solids from fouled water. Therefrom, said solid phase is withdrawn at cleaning of settlers is mixed with WMS 1^st and 2^nd stage tails and delivered to the stoping.
