SUBSTANCE: invention relates to power supply systems of spacecrafts (SC) with solar batteries (SB). Method of controlling solar panel angles of acceleration and deceleration and maximum values of current produced by SB during operation of on-board equipment in modes of minimum and maximum current consumption. Setting angles of actuation and release of SB, range of time for determining position of the solar panel on the illuminated section of orbit and angle analysis currents. Setting maximum allowable error of determining angular position of the solar panel and current measurement period. Setting initial value of maximum background current and the accuracy of determining position of the solar panel.
EFFECT: technical result provides expansion of functional capabilities and higher efficiency of SB position control.
